On September 20, Rhein-Valley Hospital will celebrate its tenth anniversary with the premiere of a film documentary about the life of the hospital’s initiator, Stephan Holderegger.
MARBACH. On May 1, 2004, the Rhine Valley Hospital Association began operating its hospital in Kenya. To celebrate the tenth anniversary and to inform about the current status of the aid project in Altstätt sponsorship, the board invites to a benefit event, on Saturday, September 20, in the multipurpose hall Amtacker in Marbach. More information about the festival will follow. It is already certain that the documentary film “The Promise – the long breath of Stephan Holderegger” will be shown as a premiere. Currently, board member and producer Benjamin Pipa and director Lawrence Carls are on the road in the Rhine Valley to interview companions of Stephan Holderegger. Further, they accompany the main character to key places in his life. In this way, the Swissfilm GmbH team paints a multi-layered picture of the initiator of the Rhine Valley Hospital. The wood sculptor Robert Hangartner is also a member of the association’s board. He carved a typical wild animal of Kenya – the giraffe. The 1.70-meter sculpture will be auctioned off at the benefit.
