The visit to Maji Moto has shown just how much can be achieved through trust, commitment and every single donation. The staff are motivated, provide practical help and are making tangible progress.

Children like Amina are receiving much-needed medical care, whilst new projects are giving the people of Maji Moto hope for a healthier and more self-determined future.

On Thursday, 7 May (8 am to 6 pm), the town of Altstätten will be holding one of its major markets, the Maimarkt. You can find us at Marktgasse 24. We are collecting donations to help children with special needs.

It was a wonderful moment for the team when more than 200 patients visited our Medical Centre on Wednesday. For one day, the focus was on people with eye problems and cancer screening.

Sunday, 8 March, is International Women's Day. On this occasion, special attention is given to women who have made significant contributions to society. At Maji Moto, we also encounter strong women every day.

I am happy to share with you my experiences from my working visit to Kenya in September. It is amazing what has been achieved in Maji Moto in such a short time.

Swiss medical student Corvin Ravaioli completed an internship at the Rhein Valley Medical Center in Kenya and experienced how medical care can make a big difference even under modest conditions.

Corvin Ravaioli describes our Medical Center as very well positioned. With comparatively little money, he says, a lot can be achieved and thousands of people can be helped.

We received some happy news this week from the maternity ward of our day clinic. Clinic director Violet Maghanga writes about the attached pictures: ‘This is our first successful delivery.’
