Dear donors

My name is Violet Maghanga, I am a Registered Clinical Officer (CO) and I have eight years of work experience in a healthcare facility. My work there involved diagnosing and treating general illnesses – both inpatient and outpatient. I also performed minor surgical procedures and I am experienced in the interpretation of X-rays, ultrasound and laboratory results.

I am also committed to promoting health among the Kenyan population. I advise patients and guide them in looking after their health and preventing illness. I am experienced in conducting clinical outreach, school health activities and health management. Thanks to my training, I was able to obtain a license for the Rhine Valley Hospital Health Center.

It has always been my desire to work with people in places that are difficult to access. They only have limited access to medical services. When the partner organizations Rhein-Valley Hospital and Schilling für Shilling approached me and asked me to help them set up the facility in Maji Moto, it was a turning point for me. I was given the opportunity to explore my potential and give something back to the community.

To date, I have earned short study certificates in Health Services Management, Global Health Monitoring and Evaluation, and Project Management. I also completed a course in point-of-care ultrasound.

I believe that a combination of these skills will allow me to run the Rhine Valley Hospital Health Center smoothly in collaboration with my team and provide basic but quality health care to both the school children and the community.

The Rhine Valley Hospital Health Center is now an approved facility. I want to develop it into a standard medical clinic that offers the best in the region.

I look forward to your support – the Rhein-Valley Hospital Association – to give the best to the needy people in Kenya and the Maji Moto region.

Kind regards
Violet Maghanga
