Again, a group of 17 women can be stopped. Enormous numbers of young women between the ages of 25 and 30, with an average of 4 children already, are choosing to plan their families.
Some of them take this step without their husband’s knowledge. Since their husbands still call the shots here in Kenya, it’s hard to say no as a woman. They wait patiently in the aisle with their no babies until their turn comes. Shortly after the procedure, that is about 2 hours afterwards, they leave the hospital and go home as if nothing had happened….
