Despite pouring rain that led to major flooding in many places, many mothers with their babies arrived somewhat late for the checkup today.

A striking number of the babies suffered from a flu-like cold. However, this is no wonder with the great humidity, cold and wetness. Then there is the lack of warm clothes, socks and proper footwear. In the houses they do not have a stove, but some take glowing charcoals into the house, without thinking that the smoke is harmful to the lungs. At night when the children have to get up in the dark – since there is no light either – many of them trip over the stove and suffer bad burns. When I think about it like that, how do we have to be happy with what we have, and how many people who have too much don’t even know how to appreciate it. -Mama Matata
