The pandemic was far from over and we were already facing serious new challenges. We had to realize that we could no longer operate the RVH. After careful consideration, we decided to close our hospital and withdraw from Kasambara-Gilgil. After handling the closure of the hospital in the fall, the board is now putting its resources back to profitable use in Kenya. When it became apparent that we would withdraw from Kasam- bara-Gilgil, I resumed contact with Eddie Kroll and the Austrian Shilling for Shilling Association. In November 2007, we two non-profit associations had jointly realized a drinking water well near the RVH. Now we are intensifying our cooperation as partners again.narbeit als Partner wieder.<\/p>\n<p>Discussions between Eddie Kroll and myself had shown that the two clubs still complement each other well. &#8220;Shilling for Shilling&#8221; runs a school near Mombasa. There is not enough money to implement the planned projects. This is where we, as the RVH Board of Directors, come in. We want our network to benefit the school. In this way, each association can target its resources.<\/p>\n<p>Both sides ensure that the projects are documented in detail.
