We have already completed a first project together with our funds. The school of “Shilling for Shilling” near Mombasa has built a photovoltaic system and two fresh water tanks. For the budgeted 5000 euros, food supplies for the school children were also purchased and a chicken facility was set up.

At the moment we are implementing as a partner another project with an equivalent value of about 20`000 Euro. Additional classrooms and a medical room are set up and a nurse is hired. In our realignment, we will therefore continue to live up to our goal of providing poor people with basic health care.

Erich Kühnis is confident that the RVH, which for years was regarded as the hospital of hope, can continue to provide hope – in the context of a project in which help and support are more needed than is now the case in Kasambara-Gilgil.
