The Executive Board is now working in a new composition
The board was always successful in recruiting new volunteers. The newest members are also the youngest: They are Michi Vogt and Gereon von der Linden.
New water reservoir will serve the whole community
Currently, a large water reservoir is being built on the grounds of the Maji Moto school in Shimba Hills. It is designed to ensure that clean water is available to children year-round. It is used as food, for washing and for irrigation.
The joy of the sighted Fatama Bakari Ushanga is great
The eye disease Fatama Bakari Ushanga was considered untreatable. Fortunately, this proved to be a mistake. The fact that the 35-year-old mother can now look at her children failed only because of money.
Two presidents in the classroom – a visit to Shimba Hills
During their working visit to the project in Kenya in mid-May, President Erich Kühnis (Rhein-Valley Hospital) and President Eddie Kroll (Shilling for Shilling) also visited the children and young people. They are at the center of the project. Consequently, all decisions are based on their needs.

The partnership between the Rhine Valley Hospital Association and the Shilling for Shilling Association is shaping up very well. To ensure that the project continues to develop as successfully as it has to date, the two presidents meet regularly on site.
These children are no longer excluded – they finally have a uniform
The project management for the four young people each bought two new sets of a uniform. They didn't have a shilling to spend on it. Now they are no longer excluded and are allowed to learn.
There were balloons and handmade beaded necklaces
The Rhein-Valley Hospital Association has its registered office in Altstätten. The population in the Städtli and the region had followed and supported the work of the board for many years. At the May market there was an opportunity to get news about the school and the infirmary.

The Rhein-Valley Hospital Association is based in Altstätten in the St.Gallen Rhine Valley. There, on Thursday, May 4, (8 a.m. to 6 p.m.) the Maimarkt, one of the four big markets of the year, will take place. We are very pleased to be represented there with an information booth.
Violet Maghanga is the medical director of the infirmary
The Rhine Valley Hospital Association has found a medical director: Violet Mathanga is 30 years old and has a solid training as a nurse.
